This is a non-profit feline rescue
organization. I used to volunteer for them quite a bit before I bought
the Hard Bean. They have all types of kittens and cats available for
adoption. There is an adoption fee which helps to reimburse the organization
for the medical treatment
that the cat has received. All adoptable cats have
received the age-appropriate vaccinations, and all necessary medical treatment including deworming, defleaing, treatment
for ear mites, etc. All adult cats over six months of age have been
spayed/neutered.
Their adoption events are held at Petco in the
Broadcasting Square Mall, the first and third Saturday of every
month. Check their website for times and exact dates.
So, before you accept a 'free' kitten from your neighbor's litter, fill out an
on-line application for The CatWorks and provide a loving home for
an abandonded, unwanted kitty!
Please be part of the solution
and not part of the problem. If you own pets, please -- have them spayed
and neutered. Prevent them from reproducing. It is your
responsibility as a pet owner. And encourage your neighbor to do the
same!
